Where it really started

Not at the altar. Not even at the match. At a takeaway counter in Limerick, after a night out, over a chicken and a bag of chips.

September 2020. LYIT Donegal against the Eagles. At the game, Niall gave Orlaith a thumbs-up. One thumbs-up. That was the whole move.

That night, after a night out, they landed in Shake Dog, the late-night takeaway in Limerick, and properly talked for the first time. He got the chicken. She got cheese and garlic chips. The order still stands.

Not affiliated with Shake Dog, just very fond of it.

House specials

Two proud counties. Both basketball mad. One household. No substitutions.

The Derry

Niall

Proudly Derry. Served with the Walls, the Peace Bridge and the Guildhall. Works for Basketball Ireland, so the basketball comes as standard. Arrives with a big Northern side order.

The Limerick

Orlaith

Proudly Limerick, Huskies through and through. Served with King John's Castle and the Shannon. Primary school teacher, so she will know if you didn't do your homework.

The international menu

Seaside special

Kilkee, Co. Clare

New

Her favourite place in the world, all those childhood summers. The question on the cliffs. She said yes.

Terms of the order

What's the dress code?

Your good clothes: suits, dresses, colour, personality. Two firm rules. Nothing white unless you're the bride. No club jerseys, either club. Yes, it's a Huskies and Eagles house. That's exactly why.

Is Saturday really open to everyone?

Really. The Treehouse at the Woodlands, Saturday 24 April, from 4:00. No second list. If you're about, come in.

Are children invited?

Your invite names everyone it includes. Check it when it lands, and just ask us if anything's unclear.

Phones in the church?

The ruling comes with the invites. Either way, Black Diamond Photography and MDA Productions have the cameras covered, so you can just be there.

Gifts?

Having you there is plenty; a card box will be about on the day, quietly.

When do orders close?

1 March 2027, to be confirmed on the invites. Order early. Nobody likes being the last one at the counter.

Does the counter take RSVPs for real?

Not yet. The counter below is in training mode. It goes live with the invites, and then your name brings up your whole household.
